About
About BuyMetric
BuyMetric is a new, UK-based buying-information project focused on making product research easier to understand.
What we are building
Choosing a product can mean wading through specification sheets, near-identical model names and prices that move around. BuyMetric aims to turn that into clear, honest buying information: which specifications matter, how products compare, whether a price looks attractive, and when it might be worth considering.
What we believe
- Evidence first. Statements should be traceable to a source, or clearly labelled as our own judgement.
- Transparency. We will say how we work, how we are funded, and what we do not know.
- Useful comparisons. A comparison should help you decide, not just list numbers.
- Price awareness. A price means more with context. Over time we want to show it against its own history.
- Straightforward explanations. No unnecessary jargon, and no pressure to buy.
Where we are now
We are developing our first category: robot vacuums and mops. Our buying guides are live. Our product data and price tracking are still being built, and we do not yet publish rankings, scores or price history. We would rather launch honestly and grow than appear bigger than we are.
Who operates BuyMetric
BuyMetric is a trading name of Dylan Baldeo, who operates it as a sole trader. Our contact page has our correspondence address and email.
How BuyMetric is funded
We intend to earn a commission when people buy through certain links on our site. This is explained in our affiliate disclosure. We do not sell products ourselves, and commission does not decide what we say or how we compare products.
What BuyMetric is not
- Not a retailer. We do not sell, stock or ship products.
- Not a product testing lab. We do not currently test products, and we say so.
- Not a source of financial, legal or safety advice.
